As a former college football player, I am often frustrated with the deterioration in physical fitness that I have experienced over the past few years. A lot of it has to do with my sedentary office job. I occasionally lift weights, but I continue to gain weight and feel generally out of shape. The hardest part is to find the right approach, especially due to some injuries I sustained during my college football years. I tend to get impatient when I finally muster enough energy to start exercising regularly and I end up overdoing it. Particularly my lower back and my rotator cuff respond badly to an overly ambitious workout regimen. I have been contemplating to get involved with a training group that will help me stick to a reasonable and sustainable exercise plan.
