I am 38 years old African man,i used to play soccer for one hour every sunday. but i ride bicycle to work five days a week. i am a teacher and recently i put on weight. My belly started protruding and my cheeks are full.i take tea (teabag) without milk with bread and two fried eggs or magarine everyday as breakfast, my lunch is mainly cooked rice with vegetable soup and two slices of cooked yams with either fish or meat.and sometimes, i take a maize meal with fish as lunch. then my dinner is a heavy meal made with rice and vegetable or palm nut soup, then on going to bed,i drink tea(teabag) with bread and magarine.i eat a lot of pawpaw, orange and mangoes.I also drink a lot of water particularly at night. Am i eating healthy? and as an African, what foods and fruits should i eat to avoid high blood pressure?

I recently went for a full checkup (never had checkups in years, I'm 30 years old.) and found out that I had a high number in the Serum Creatinine test (about 140, and 120 being the normal I was told). I'm going again for further checks at another clinic just to be sure. Should I be concerned? I thought such complications come up later in life (hence me not being serious in getting checkups since a long time). Maybe it is very early signs of Kidney Failure? Can it be stopped? Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks. Abdulla

I heard recently that it is more important to stretch after running. Is it better to stretch before or after running?
