Being a mother of two and having worked as a teacher in the Waldorf School System, I have a lot of experience with healthy and sick children. My nearly two-year-old daughter has had hive-like welts mysteriously appearing for over a week. She has had one outbreak of hives before, a little over a year ago, but this time seems different. The welts do not seem to bother her, and usually appear on a spot where she has bumped or leaned against something. Benedryl makes them go away, but I don't like her to be "drugged" all the time. Is this something that needs medical attention, or is it OK to just wait it out?
